The  book "The Secret Year" is written by Jennifer Hubbard.For the past year, Colt and Julia have been secretly “together”. Total opposites and part of different groups at school, Julia also has a boyfriend at the same time. Before the next school year begins, Julia is killed in a car accident and Colt is given a journal marked with his initials from her brother. What will he discover in these pages about Julia, her feelings, and, perhaps, his own?

The story took place mostly everywhere.

This book was good, it had situations that many people want while at the same time they think they want but really don't. When you begin this book Colt had been dating a girl named Julia for a year and she had just died, then it goes on to explain how he felt about her, what she felt about him, tons of other things, mainly about his trying to sort out not only his feelings he still had for this dead girl but feelings for others around him, especially when her younger brother gives him her journal.This book was really good I actually read it twice.
